Introduction
This project is a house with a linear layout, designed to make the most of a long, narrow plot. The arrangement separates living and private areas, prioritising natural light, ventilation and connections to gardens and outdoor spaces.
The challenge
Adapting the home to the proportions and slope of the plot while ensuring practical circulation, privacy and natural light, including at basement level.
The approach
The layout places the living area at the front and the bedrooms in a more private zone. Access via the side garden and the planted courtyard beside the basement encourage light and air to enter, while the rear garden and deck extend life outdoors.
